For Marzipan (Dasha Krachun), A Song For A Knight is a story about commitments and the challenge of detaching from them while breaking away from grief. Why do we stay loyal to something that no longer makes us happy in life? Why do we hold onto our past traumas, losses, connections that didn't last, as if someone's made us swear an oath to those? Are we even loyal to ourselves? Marzipan answers those questions by bringing the Knight’s touching story into life.
Jayden Aleksander Ray
Writer & Producer
Aleksander is the Writer and Producer for A Song for a Knight. Aleksander has always had a love for fantasy as a genre. He feels I’m fantasy, when the world is simpler, without phones and cars and skyscrapers, the emotions can feel deeper and more grounded. Aleksander wrote A Song for a Knight as a way to tackle grief and duty and parenthood.
GaelleD
Line Producer
Gaelle is the line producer for A Song For a Knight. She hopes to help the rest of the cast and crew prepare for the shoot seamlessly by completing all the necessary paperwork. What drew her to this film is its fantastical Medieval setting. She loves historical fiction so she is beyond excited to be working on this project.
Osvaldo Cornejo
1st Assistant Director
Osvaldo is responsible for ensuring time is used efficiently while maintaining the safety to bring this story through production, and man is he excited! Osvaldo is inspired by the grandeur scheme that is ‘A Song For A Knight’ , and is most looking forward to the collaboration of creating such a vivid and gorgeously medieval image through fantastic coordination. This story goes beyond our modern aged horizons, and Osvaldo plans to raise the sun for more daylight on this complex story of a time long long before ours.
Bryce Jeong

As a cinematographer, Bryce aims to immerse an audience into a story and make the acting and directing more intimate and powerful through shot design, camera movement, lens selection, and lighting. Bryce has always wanted to work on a fantasy/period-piece project, and is thrilled to be the cinematographer for this film. He can’t wait to work with some amazing people on-set and show others how beautiful this story is.
Layne Rogers
Production Designer
Layne hopes to bring the world of A Song for a Knight alive through their design. By intricately worldbuilding through the characters and the environment, the lore will bleed into the visuals to create a living, breathing story. They are immensely excited to work with a talented team of artists to construct the intricate visual elements of this film, and for every prop, costume, and piece of set decoration to have a unique and distinct image that contributes to the fantastical yet somber tone of the story.

Constructing the world of A Song For A Knight and bringing out the best it has to offer through editing is Henry’s job and specialty. His intimate knowledge of the editing pipeline enables the story to rapidly grow and develop in post production. Bringing out subtle but defining moments of our knight and the world he explores to make the audience feel a deeper connection to the film is his goal. His passion for the film and the world it showcases is palpable and infectious to other crew members.
Nicole Kelly & Matthew Hua
Co-Composers
Nicole and Matthew bring their skills as multi-genre composers for media to tell the musical story of A Song for a Knight. Nicole is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and yogi whose work reflects a synthesis of sound & spirituality. She crafts sonic narratives that explore the human psyche, mirroring the intricate quest for personal transformation and enlightenment. Matthew, a hard-of-hearing composer, draws on his intentional relationship with sound shaped in part by his hearing loss. Together, they are eager to bring this tale to life in a mystical yet relatable soundscape.
