- Director's Statement -
While watching this film, I want the audience to follow The Knight’s journey together with him and reflect on the decisions he is making. The story is not unfamiliar to any of us – everyone gets faced with a choice – to stay devoted to your duty – or to open up to the world and see what else is out there. I want to show our audience that it is okay to take care of yourself, step aside and make a change that will bring you back to enjoying life and staying caring and kind to yourself.

- Stylistic Choice -
A Song For A Knight pre-visualization process centers on maximizing emotional impact through the deliberate juxtaposition of composition, lens selection, and camera movement. Drawing inspiration from the cinematography of Train Dreams (2025) and Moonlight (2016), I envision a grounded visual look supplemented by a dreamy feel/vibe to best connect the audience to the narrative within the project’s runtime. Ultimately, the cinematography is designed to mirror the protagonist’s internal mental state while simultaneously showcasing the beautiful natural environment and the high-effort production design.
